Your account can be locked for a variety of reasons, and we are happy to help when/if your account gets locked. This guide will show you how to identify if your account is locked. In addition, this guide will explain what to do when your account is locked.
How to Tell if Your Account is Locked
If you do not remember your password, that does not mean that your account is locked. If your account is locked, you will see this error message when attempting to sign in: "Your account has been locked. Contact your support person to unlock it, then try again."
If you have multiple failed login attempts in the Student portal, you might be locked out of the Student Portal for 15 minutes. That does not mean that your account is locked. Rather, there is a 15-minute lock on your Student Portal access. Wait 15 minutes and try again.
If you have attempted to access Canvas, your Student Email, or the Student Portal, and they are all locked, then your account is most likely locked.
