If you need the name listed on your MBTS Account changed, follow the steps listed in this guide. The guide below provides instructions for Staff email accounts, Student email accounts, and Canvas accounts.
1. Requesting a Name Change (for Staff Accounts)
- Contact Human Resources (HR) by emailing Dena Morris at: dmorris@mbts.edu.
- In the email, provide the following information:
- Current name listed
- Desired name change
- Reason for name change (i.e., typo in name, recently married)
- Current email address
- Dena may ask for more information; provide any further information she requests.
2. Requesting a Name Change (for Student Accounts)
- Contact the Registrar at registrar@mbts.edu.
- In the email, provide the following information:
- Current name listed
- Desired name change
- Reason for name change (i.e., typo in name, recently married)
- Current email address
- The Registrar may ask for more information; provide any further information they request.
3. Requesting a Name Change (Specifically in Canvas)
- Contact the IT Helpdesk at helpdesk@mbts.edu.
- In the email, provide the following information:
Current name listed
Desired name change
Reason for name change (i.e., typo in name, recently married)
Current email address
- The Helpdesk may ask for more information; provide any further information they request.
